Gillian qualified from University College Hospital Dental School, London (1986), following a Physiology Honours degree. Gillian is a registered practitioner with extensive training and practical experience and has been practicing at Truro Dental Care since 1996. Gillian gained her MBA in 2010. Gillian is a member of The Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK), The Royal College of Surgeons of England and has undertaken their implant diploma course.
Gillian provides a complete oral health service from her Lemon Street practice and is passionate about keeping up to date with dental education development and techniques. In addition to preventive care, Gillian performs a range of dental treatments such as prosthetic (dentures, crowns and bridges), endodontic therapy (root canal treatments), and periodontal therapy (treatment of gum diseases). Gillian also treats complex cases, as well as surgically extracting third molars (wisdom teeth), apicectomies and implantology.
One of her specialist interests is cosmetic dentistry using the latest methods and advanced materials with the aim of improving the overall aesthetics of your smile. Common cosmetic dental procedures include teeth whitening, veneers, crowns, white tooth restorations. Gillian also has an interest in contact sports protection and has previously been the Cornish Pirates dentist providing their sports guards, going on to work alongside OPRO, a leading sports guard company, providing sports guards for local school children. Gillian also gives aesthetic facial cosmetics: e.g. wrinkle corrective treatment.
Building on early career experience in Maxillofacial surgery in London and South Coast hospitals she maintains her knowledge and professional standards by participating in Continuous Professional Development.
Gillian was selected by her dental peers as the chair of the Cornwall Independent Dental Practitioners for 2016 and is an active participant on their committee.
Living in the Truro area, where Gillian raised and educated her four children, she participates in tennis, dancing, yoga and jewellery making within the local community.

After years of anxiously neglecting my teeth, I took the plunge to see Dr. Rainsberry. She’s very caring and compassionate, gentle and human! Does a great job – I have recommended the surgery to my support group for autistic people who also struggle in medical environments. I will be a repeat visitor until my teeth are at optimum.
